Hey, everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely week. This quarantine has been tough, but to those of you who are following the rules and keeping others safe, thank you for doing your part. But we all know that having endless amounts of time on our hands can cause us to go stir crazy. I’m not sure about you, but I know for me if I’m bored I tend to eat more and spend more money. So today, I would like to share with you four things that are actually worth your money. This post is not sponsored or affiliated. Let’s get into it! Btw, is anyone else listening to Christmas music right now to lift their spirits? Probably just me and that makes sense, lol.
You may feel bad for overindulging on yourself, but you will never feel bad for indulging in things that will help you and your relationships with the people you love the most. Here are a few suggestions.
- Family Meal Delivery Kits- My favorite is Hello Fresh.
- Board Games – You can order these online.
- Video Games such as Mario Cart
- Counseling if you need help with your relationships. Most therapists are hosting online sessions right now.
- Devotionals or Books to go through with your Spouse or Children.
- DIY Crafts (Pinterest has lots of them) Follow me to see the ones I pin!
2. Healthy Food
With most restaurants closed down at the moment, this would be a great time to start cooking healthy and nutritious meals. I follow the KETO diet, so if you’re interested in that I pin a lot of recipes on Pinterest. Also if you don’t want to go into the grocery stores right now opt for grocery delivery or pickup. Walmart and Instacart offer great services for this.
3. Home Renovations
Have you always wanted to re-decorate your home or add some finishing touches, but never found the time to do it? Why not do it while you’re stuck at home? You can order supplies from Amazon, Walmart and places like that online.
Taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of your family and other relationships. If you struggle with this try to remind yourself that it’s hard to be there for other people when you’re running on empty. It’s not selfish to make yourself a priority. Here are a few suggestions on how to spend your money on yourself.
- Vitamins- taking care of your health and making sure that you’re body has the things it needs to function is really important.
- A Hobby or activity that brings you joy. Books are a great idea for this.
- Expanding your knowledge
Do you want to start your own blog or online business? Well a lot of us are stuck at home anyway, so why not start now? I am currently enrolled in a Pinterest course, and it’s been really fun learning while being at home.
I truly hope that these suggestions were helpful to anyone who reads this. If you have any suggestions you would like to add, or if you enjoyed this post, please share it and leave a comment below! Have a blessed week!
