Hey everyone, I hope you are all having a blessed week! I know there is a lot going on in the world, but I am choosing not to blog about political issues just because I personally see it everywhere, and for my own mental health would like to choose to stay away from the topic. However, I will continue to pray for our Country, and if anyone needs prayer, please feel free to email me a prayer request on my About page! With that being said, today I would like to introduce some fun interactive activities that you can do with your toddler that even you as an adult will not actually enjoy!
1. grow a small garden
Growing a garden can be so satisfying. If you want something easy try Sunflowers. They grow so tall and beautiful. Allow your toddler to helping you, by helping them put the seeds in the ground, and by using a watering can. I can’t think of a better way to spend your summer days!
2. Go out for coffee
We all have our favorite coffee shop. I love going to local coffee shops. Sometimes trying out a new cafe is fun too! Usually, most coffee shops offer a variety of things from coffee to decaffeinated coffee. Obviously I am not suggesting giving your child caffeine. That would not be a good idea, although what would be fun is if you let your toddler pick out their own style of decaffeinated coffee. That would be a really cool way to bond with your toddler just as if you were bonding with a friend over coffee.
3. Go for a hike
Hiking can be a great way to get some exercise. Kids and adults alike love to hike. Going exploring outdoors and paying attention to the details of nature can be really fun for toddlers! Just make sure the weather is nice!
P.S. Being outdoors reduces stress, and it’s a great way to keep your home clean lol.
4. Bake together
Baking is so much fun, and not only is it fun, but it’s also freaking adorable to watch your toddler bake with you. You’re definitely going to want your camera to capture this cuteness. There are two ways you can bake with a toddler. You can help them use an easy bake oven, or you can find easy recipes and guide them on what to do.
5. Dive Into Swimming
Swimming is a no-brainer when it comes to summertime activities. It’s a great way to exercise, and if you want your toddler to take a long nap you can’t go wrong with swimming. You can get some sun while your child is using up their energy in a healthy way. It’s a win-win.
I hope you all enjoyed these suggestions. I know that watching Blippi for the millionth time can get old quick, so I thought I would help you all out by adding some suggestions for you. If you have any more suggestions feel free to leave it in the comments below! Also please share if you liked this post, or let me know if you would like to see more posts like these! Have a blessed day!
